Ayya GnaniBirundavanar born on Rohini Nakshatra of Tamil month Vaigasi in 20th century at the “Mahamaham” Festivel famous, “City of Temples” City called "Kumbakkonam" at Tamilnadu. This City situated at Southern part of India also known as “Bharath”; He is in the “Guru Parampara” Lineage of “Maharishi Bohar” who is one of the most acclaimed of 18 Siddhas.
During his Childhood days, GnaniBirundhavanar engaged himself in the path of “Bakthi Markham”. At the age of 12 he was attracted towards the principals of Atheism (Disbelief in the existence of God) and he transformed himself completely as atheist. Later at the age of 15 due to true rational maturity he stepped into temple to explore the truth behind the existence of god in Temple statues, which led to his transformation from “Atheism” to “Bauthikam” (A person who believes only what he see & experiences).
To the surprise, on the first day of his visit to temple he was revealed of the knowledge of siddhars. Later for a period of 1 year he wandered in search of true Siddhars and their philosophical preaching’s. Whilst he has experienced near death situations in his journey towards the search of truth, by the graciousness of great siddhar “Bohar Mahirishi” and compassion of Lord “Bhairavar” he was given deeksha to the path of Wisdom by one of “Swamy Mummudi Balayohi” ’s disciple (sishya) siddhar “Mahan Rajavel Swamigal” who lived in Manaloorpettai near Thirukoviloor. Ayya followed his Guru’s word as his life mission and dedicated his life in Gnana sadhanas for several years.
Once during his dhyana practicing along with a guru named “Sakthi Amma”(Feminine), He was bestowed with Dharshan of the “Vaalai Kumari” who is glorified by Siddhars appeared as the Mother of Universe “Loga Matha Mahishasura Mardini” and blessed our Ayya GnaniBirundhavanar. He took this experience as the first milestone of self-realization and intensified his search towards Ultimate Truth.
Later in a place called Peralam Ayya was bestowed by the blessings of “Chinna Kunji Amma” so cherished by people as “Nirvana Bhairavi Amma”. Amma endowed her immense love towards our Ayya GnaniBirundavanar and often she shares her food as her “Prasadam” to our Ayya to eat. Amma via her sacred words declared on those days that “You will become Siddhar Swamy one day”, which has come true.
When our Ayya GnaniBirundhavanar met Nirvana Bhairagi Rajasekara swamigal who lived at the Jeevasamadhi of Siddhar Soottukkole Swamigal located at Rajamannarkudi near Pattukottai he told him that “Adivasi your time has changed, your name and my name are inscribed in stone”. Rajasekara Swamigal presented his green dhoti which he was wearing and become completely nirvana again and blessed our Ayya stating “This for you and we both are Adivasi”.
Further our Ayya GnaniBirundavanar went to Kasi Yathra and stayed at Kasi Harishchandra ghat. He fasted and abstained sleep for 3 mandalas. Ayya acquired dheeksha in “Agori bhairagi Markham”and commenced penance for several days. Ayya personally went in search of truth related to “Bhariva Atta Veerataana” which is the peak of Siva Sadhana and realized it. Then he experienced it through his Dhyana sakthi and attained ‘Bhariava siddhi’.
Through his devoted service to many Siddhars, Gurus and Sufis of Islam he was blessed by their love and acquired many deekshas from them and exceled in the practice of it properly. As he led his life as per his Gurus words, at his age of 28 (in 2013) in a day of “Chitra Pournami” he become Realized being(Gnani).
